Adopt-A-Room

The Adopt-A-Room initiative gives individuals, businesses, and organizations the opportunity to sponsor a guest room at the Ronald McDonald Family Room in the Curaçao Medical Center. Contributions made through this program help cover the upkeep, and maintenance of the room, while also supporting essential items such as bedding, linens, and necessary room amenities. This ensures that families staying there throughout the year have access to a welcoming, comfortable, and fully equipped environment.

Supporting the Adopt A Room program means much more than simply providing accommodation for families during difficult times. Your sponsorship helps children receive the medical care they need while allowing loved ones to stay nearby for support and comfort during treatment, and helps parents concentrate fully on their child's recovery and well-being. In addition, your support offers families a place to rest, recharge, and find comfort while caring for their seriously ill child and supporting their siblings.

During 2025, we provided a total of 988 nights of accommodation. Families that stay with us come from our local area, but we also welcome families from our sister islands Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Saba, and Sint Eustatius, as well as other countries.

Of the families that stay from abroad, more than 80% have a prematurely born baby being treated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Curaçao Medical Center. The average length of stay at Ronald McDonald House Curaçao is 22 nights.
