With heavy hearts, we share that the organizers have decided to cancel HomeSports this weekend. This decision was made following urgent advice from the medical partner EMS and the involved municipalities. Due to the expected extreme heat and the predicted thunderstorms, it is not considered safe to carry out this physical event responsibly. The organization explored several alternative scenarios to continue HomeSports in an adjusted format, but unfortunately none proved feasible, both for practical and logistical reasons, as well as safety concerns (heat and overnight thunderstorms).
The organizers and we understand that this announcement raises many questions and brings disappointment. We feel that too. We know how much energy, training and dedication has gone into this event. From you as a team, but also from volunteers, sponsors, suppliers, and everyone working behind the scenes. That is why this decision affects us all.
